Brook - 5.0 Stars - No Rattle!

Great design. Whether towing or not, the hitch won’t rattle around due to the shank being offset by an allen wrench screw.

Blazer - 5.0 Stars - Eliminated "clunk"

Love the design. It's solid with no movement. Try to make it wiggle, and you are moving your rig. The price is a little steep but there are no other options for this product that work in my application. I would like to suggest that the manufacturer include a longer ball end t-handle allen wrench that extends past the ball hitch or possibly a shorter ratcheting t-handle. The included allen hex is so short that it's a knuckle buster at a quarter turn at a time. I also like that I can use a dry spray lube and no grease on this hitch. Less mess. Less noise.

Tony M. - 5.0 Stars - Excellent Quality

I hate the constant clanking noise of loose hitches so I thought I would give this a try. As per the instructions, it snugs right up. I bought this for pulling my ATV trailer behind the camper. Just driving around the block a few times it works as expected. Once I use it on a long on and off-road trip, I will see how well it stays tightened up and change my rating accordingly. But, so far I like it.

UPDATE After several thousands of miles, hundreds of which were over rough dirt roads, the hitch stayed tight and has continued to be rattle-free. Highly recommended!

Scott E Ames - 5.0 Stars - Quiet at Last

Anyone who has ever driven a utility trailer unloaded behind their vehicle knows how loud a 2-inch receiver hitch can be while rattling down the road. This completely eliminates that noise. I’m not sure about the sturdiness. I only have a light utility trailer, so I’m sure it’s more than adequate enough for that. I don’t know if I would want to try to tow a heavy boat or mobile home. Whoever designed this did a nice job with a product that eliminates the rattle and annoying noise of a 2-inch receiver hitch.

Braden York - 5.0 Stars - Great Fit

Great fit for my truck. I haul a trailer for work almost every day and don’t ever hear rattling from the trailer.

Cat Martin - 5.0 Stars - Small Car, Big Capability

Not like I'm trying to pull a 30-foot camper behind me, but having such a small car, I cannot fit a full-size piece of lumber in my car when I'm doing interior updates to my house. So...I found a small trailer my car can tow and had this hitch installed. At the same time they installed the lights cables so I am "legal" with the trailer's lights. I can now order a full-size sheet of plywood to replace a damaged piece of subflooring and pick it up with my trailer attached to this hitch. Someone would say, "Just buy an SUV, truck, or mini-van," and I would, but I'm conserving my money with a paid-for car (how many out there can say they don't have a car payment) and for a total of $300 for the small (used) trailer and having the hitch installed, I'm happily on the road to the local home store for items I couldn't carry home inside my car. This hitch is great - it does not rattle and handily pulls my trailer without a problem. Works for me!

Todd A - 5.0 Stars - No Rattle with One Allen Screw

I wish I knew about this before I bought a regular ball mount starter kit and an anti-rattle hitch tightener. The Quietite 2-inch ball hitch kit combines both a hitch and ball with the ability of an anti-rattle hitch tightener in one with only one Allen screw to tighten it. The kit comes with the Allen wrench for tightening, a 5/8-inch hitch pin, and a hitch pin clip. We have used this hitch kit for hauling a small trailer several times and are very happy with the lack of rattle. It is easier to put on than the U-shaped tighteners that have two nuts that must be tightened. It costs about twice as much as the cheapest hitch ball kit that you can get at most stores, but I think it is well worth it. Since it is all in one, you only have to keep track of the Allen wrench that came with it, which I threw into the glove box. With the other kit, I have to keep track of the hitch ball kit, the U-shaped anti-rattle, and a wrench for the anti-rattle. The anti-rattle didn't come with a wrench, so I had to take one from my set (or you could buy a cheap one) to keep it in my glove box.

P. Moy - 5.0 Stars - No Rattling

This ball mount did exactly as claimed: no rattling. Its design looks straightforward. The mount consists of a front and back piece. The two pieces meet in a 45-degree bevel when drawn together by a socket-head bolt (see photos). When the bolt is tightened, the front and back pieces expand against the receiver on opposite sides, preventing ball-mount movement and rattling. On a regular ball mount, the hitch pin goes through on both sides. On this mount, the hitch pin goes through the front piece on one side, and the rear piece on the other. Depending on one’s level of paranoia, one may speculate this mount wouldn’t be as strong as a regular mount. This mount is rated for 7500 lbs. GVW with 750 lbs. tongue weight. I trust adequate testing had been performed by the manufacturer to support this claim. In any case, since I’m only towing a small trailer with a 10’ boat, weight capacity is not a concern. Although this hasn’t actually happened to me, I’m wondering whether the socket-head bolt can work itself loose during tow, causing the rattling to return. But even If this were to happen, I think it would just be a nuisance. If I hear rattling, I would just stop the car and re-tighten the bolt.

Extreme Family - 5.0 Stars - No-Rattle, Heavy-Duty Ball and Hitch

I got this for my pickup truck to tow my boat and utility trailer. I like the heavy-duty construction and the quality 2-inch ball. It will carry up to 7,500 lbs max weight, 750 lbs on the tongue. The unique thing about this hitch is the anti-rattle constructions. There’s a hex nut in the front into which you insert the comes-with key. When you tighten this, it forces the 2 pieces of metal against the inside of the trailer receiver, so it is tight on all four sides. No rattle. Good idea, worth the money.

2” ball is suitable for most uses. Got this for a U-Haul trailer that I often rent
